Editing a video
When we first started we were editing on a Mac using Final Cut Pro. This was in a time when the DVD was still not widely used. This changed over night and we quickly saw a demand for this product as well as the demise of the VHS tape.
When we contacted Apple and were told that we could buy some new expensive software or a new expensive system we made the switch back to PC and have not been sorry.
We edit using Sony PC's and use AVID editing software. We are evaluating Adobe Premier Pro as to its capability and look forward to what we can do with that new software.
Equipment
We have the ability to shoot and switch an event live. However we prefer the control that we have using a post edit setup.
The cameras we use are Sony 3 Chip HDTV FX1. This is an amazing camera that shoots video in HD or SD ( Standard Def ) and is in the widescreen 16x9 format. While many don't yet have the HD technology necessary to play this it's is good to know that we are on the cutting edge and will be shooting all weddings in HD. When the Technology advances for the consumers we will be ready to deliver. Untill then we will be creating SD DVD's for our clients to watch. Ask us for more details on this.
Staff
Our Staff is mostly comprised of myself and my wife. However, from time to time I will use people that I have trained to shoot an event with me. We are always looking for experienced people that have the same passion that we do for video.
What I love most about this business is the people and the fun I have working with Brides and Grooms on their special day.
Family
My wife and I met at church in Modesto, CA. We both moved into the area within a month of one another. I from the Bay Area and she from Virginia. Our first date was on Valentines day and We were married the following November. We have 2 beautiful Boys who keep us busy often. What we love about Virginia is....everything. One of my favorite things is Chic-Fil-A. I grew up in California & never heard of it till I came to Virginia & I love it.
